The children of Kakok, a small village in Ile a Vache, had no school and were using a run down church with no school supplies.

In November 2004 groundwork for the school, Etwoile du Matin, began. Construction of the building was completed in November 2005.

2007- 2008

We have finished the construction of a small kitchen and we have started to feed the children one meal a day.

We would like to be able to add one multivitamin tablet a week for each child.

The school will be 100% financially backed by the foundation through its first few years of operation.

Eventually we expect it will become more self-sufficient, hence relying mainly on the donation of school supplies.
