The children of Kakok, a small village in Ile à Vache, had no school and were using a run down church with no school supplies.

In November 2004 groundwork for the school, Etoile du Matin, began. Construction of the building was completed in November 2005.

The school is 100% financed by the Foundation.

And it is free of charge for the students. Books and school supplies are also provided at no cost.
